Component Stores Warehouse Operative

About the role

We are looking for a Component Stores Warehouse Operative to join our expanding Logistics Department at a UK medical manufacturing company. The role involves processing inbound deliveries and outbound work orders, ensuring components and materials are stored correctly and supplied to production on time.

Key responsibilities

• Unload, receive, put away and pick components using FLT and handheld scanning devices.
• Operate the warehouse management system to record movements and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues with stock.
• Flexibly move between tasks throughout the shift to meet production needs.

Required profile

• Previous experience in warehousing or logistics functions.
• Valid forklift licences (CB, RT and/or pivot/bendy).
• Ability to work to deadlines, prioritize workload and adapt to changing tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety legislation.
• Willingness to work additional hours when required.

Required skills

• CB forklift licence.
• RT forklift licence.
• Pivot/bendy forklift licence.
• Proficiency with a Warehouse Management System.
• Use of handheld scanning devices.
