Computer Science Teacher – Barnet

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Computer Science Teacher for a school in the Barnet area. The position runs until the end of the academic year (summer 2027) with the potential to become a permanent school‑based contract for the right candidate. The role starts as soon as possible and follows the teachers' pay scale (M1‑UPS3).

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess the Computer Science curriculum for secondary students.
• Prepare lesson resources, practical activities and examinations.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and collaborative projects.
• Support new staff members and help maintain a positive learning environment.
• Engage with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to teach in UK schools.
• Experience or recent qualification in teaching Computer Science (ECTs encouraged).
• Ability to work within a supportive department and adapt to a school with good pupil behaviour.
• Willingness to commit to the fixed‑term period and consider a longer contract.
