Computer Science Teacher (KS3 & KS4) – Herne Bay

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Computer Science teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Herne Bay from September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, fostering a love for programming, computational thinking and digital literacy.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess Computer Science lessons in line with the national curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
- Create an inclusive, motivating classroom environment that supports all learners.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues to develop resources and share best practices.
- Participate in whole‑school duties, including safeguarding and pastoral care.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level (KS3/KS4) – both early‑career and experienced teachers are welcome.
- Strong classroom management and a genuine passion for technology education.
- Commitment to raising achievement and inspiring learners.
Required skills
- Knowledge of core Computer Science concepts and curriculum requirements.
- Ability to teach programming fundamentals and digital literacy.
