Concierge / Security Officer – Full‑time at Music School

About the role

Chetham’s School of Music is looking for a full‑time Concierge/Security Officer to join its vibrant campus in Manchester. The role works on a 12‑hour shift rota, covering both day and night periods, with overtime paid for covering colleagues’ leave and bank‑holiday work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general security for the school’s premises and grounds throughout the year.
• Record and log all patrols, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Deliver courteous, professional assistance to staff, students, visitors, contractors and the public.
• Offer directions, help and accurate advice to anyone on site.

Required profile

• Willingness to undergo child protection screening, including DBS and past‑employer checks.
• Ability to work 12‑hour day and night shifts on a rotating schedule.
• Flexibility to work bank holidays as part of the shift pattern.

What we offer

• Salary of £27,635.62 per annum (Scale Point 16‑17).
• Paid annual leave of 20 days plus 8 additional days (6 weeks total, including bank holidays).
