Configuration Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Configuration Controller to manage technical change across a high‑speed rail infrastructure programme. The role ensures that all design, standard and contract baseline changes follow a rigorous governance process from request to board approval and implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Register, review, coordinate and track Technical Change Requests and Technical Authority Communications.
• Prepare submission packs, produce weekly progress reports and ensure no change request is missed.
• Act as the central point of contact for technical change across multiple contracts, working with engineers, project teams and commercial managers.
• Maintain work instructions, training material and provide hands‑on support to Configuration Managers during baseline updates.
• Resolve blockers, chase progress and keep stakeholders informed throughout the change lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a structured change control environment on large, complex programmes.
• Strong understanding of configuration management standards and document control processes.
• Ability to manage high‑volume data and work at pace.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with diverse technical and commercial teams.
