Confined Space Labourer – Site Operative

About the role
We are seeking two site operatives/labourers for a civil engineering project in Portsmouth (PO6). The role involves a one‑week assignment on day shifts, working within a tunnel environment classified as a confined space.
Key responsibilities
- Perform general labouring tasks, including moving and distributing materials.
- Assist engineers and other site operatives with daily activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
- Communicate with the surface team using walkie‑talkies.
- Work alongside a tripod and rescue setup, following confined‑space procedures.
Required profile
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Confined Space qualification (Medium or High Risk).
- Previous experience in construction or civil engineering.
- Good understanding of site health and safety.
- Reliable team player able to work independently.
