Conservation Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Conservation‑focused Architect to join our award‑winning practice in Chipping Norton. You will lead heritage projects from feasibility through to construction, working with listed buildings and historic structures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead conservation and heritage projects across RIBA Stages 0‑6.
• Prepare planning and listed building consent applications.
• Produce heritage statements and technical information packages.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and client teams.
• Undertake site inspections and oversee project delivery.
• Support contract administration and project management.
• Contribute to design reviews and mentor junior colleagues.

Required profile

• ARB‑registered architect with several years post‑Part 3 experience.
• Strong background in listed‑building and conservation projects.
• Excellent technical and detailing skills, especially in traditional construction.
• Good knowledge of heritage planning policy and best practice.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
