Consolidations Accountant

About the role

Our client, a diverse commercial enterprise in Hammersmith, is seeking a motivated Consolidations Accountant to join the financial reporting team. You will provide essential financial support, working in a fast‑paced environment where initiative and creative thinking are valued.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing local consolidation packages by gathering data, performing basic checks, and ensuring information is complete.
• Support the production of local financial statements by compiling schedules and maintaining required documentation.
• Execute routine reporting tasks related to financial statements and regional reporting requirements.
• Provide initial research and basic analysis on IFRS 16 topics to support senior accountants.
• Assist in preparing audit files and responding to basic information requests from external auditors.
• Perform reconciliations, flag discrepancies, and contribute to data accuracy.
• Identify small process issues and propose practical improvements.

Required profile

• Advanced stage or completed ACA/ACCA qualification.
• Experience supporting accounts preparation and audit within a large in‑house group finance team.
• Proactive, quick‑thinking and able to thrive in a fast‑paced office environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS 16 reporting requirements.
• Experience with consolidation processes and financial statement preparation.
• Ability to perform reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• Familiarity with audit file preparation and responding to auditor queries.
