Construction Document Controller

About the role

The People Pod is expanding its construction and development group and needs a dedicated Document Controller / Information Manager. You will support multiple façade remediation, recladding and single‑family housing projects, ensuring that all project information is accurate, compliant and easily accessible.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Aconex and SharePoint as the single source of truth for all project data.
• Control document revisions to prevent use of superseded drawings or specifications.
• Keep registers up‑to‑date for drawings, technical submissions, approvals and Building Safety documentation.
• Support Golden Thread compliance by managing legally required information under the Building Safety Act.
• Coordinate approvals, tracking consultant and subcontractor submissions for timely review and sign‑off.
• Implement structured workflows for information release, RFI management and change control.
• Assist project teams by handling document administration, freeing up PMs and Design Managers.
• Provide audit reports and visibility of outstanding actions, risks and compliance gaps.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Document Controller or Information Manager in construction.
• Strong understanding of Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms such as Aconex, Viewpoint or SharePoint.
• Excellent organisation, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage high volumes of drawings, revisions and submissions.
• Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Golden Thread principles is advantageous.
• Confident communicator able to work across multiple project teams.
