Construction Foreman – Site Management Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to join a leading national construction business at their Cumbria depot. You will be responsible for overseeing site activities, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, order and coordinate delivery, storage and maintenance of all materials, plant and equipment on site.
• Assist the Project Manager with client‑directed changes and maintain project documentation.
• Direct, coach and support site teams, including subcontractors, to meet contractual obligations and production targets.
• Lead regular site inspections, ensure compliance with codes of practice, method statements and risk assessments.
• Conduct toolbox talks, task briefings and enforce health & safety plans.
• Collaborate with HSQE team to develop and implement the Project IMS Plan.
• Investigate incidents, manage close‑out of unsafe conditions and report on health & safety performance.
• Maintain document control systems and contribute to learning‑from‑experience meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a General Foreman, Senior Foreman, Site Supervisor or similar leadership role within the nuclear or regulated construction sector.
• Track record delivering construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects on regulated sites.
• Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multi‑disciplinary site teams.
