Construction Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Construction Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching for Further Education providers in the Liverpool area. You will help learners develop technical knowledge, practical construction skills and a clear understanding of industry standards, supporting them toward successful careers in the built environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Construction and Built Environment lessons across a range of levels.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate teaching records in line with college requirements.
• Create an inclusive, positive learning environment and ensure health and safety compliance during practical activities.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Construction in Further Education, Higher Education, secondary or adult learning settings.
• Strong classroom management, communication skills and ability to motivate learners of varying abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
