Construction Lecturer – Liverpool

About the role

Shape the future of construction by delivering high‑quality teaching to further‑education learners in Liverpool. Reed is recruiting experienced construction lecturers for sessional, temporary or permanent positions with leading colleges across Greater Manchester.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging construction lessons to learners of varying abilities.
• Teach vocational and practical construction subjects, covering current industry standards.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support progress.
• Monitor attendance, achievement and wellbeing, creating a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Maintain accurate learner records and complete required administration.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams to continuously improve teaching and learning.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification (or above) in a construction‑related discipline.
• Relevant industry experience within construction.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate learners from a range of backgrounds.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Required skills

• Knowledge of current industry standards and health & safety legislation.
