Construction Lecturer – Multi‑Skills (Leeds)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Construction Lecturer to deliver multi‑skill teaching across a range of trades to further‑education learners in Leeds. You will share your industry expertise, help students achieve recognised qualifications and prepare them for successful careers in the built environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in carpentry & joinery, brickwork, plastering, painting & decorating, plumbing and tiling.
• Develop curriculum materials, assess student work and ensure learning outcomes are met.
• Lead and coordinate course teams, contributing to course verification and quality assurance processes.
• Support student recruitment, provide guidance, mentoring and coaching throughout their progression.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge in specialist trade areas and contribute to departmental development.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one.
• Qualified to at least Level 2 in one trade with competence in at least one additional trade.
• 2–3 years experience in lecturing or training within further or higher education.
• Strong understanding of innovative teaching techniques and internal quality processes.
• Professional, customer‑focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
