Construction Lecturer - Northeast

About the role

Reed is seeking enthusiastic construction lecturers to deliver vocational training to learners across further education colleges in the North East. You will shape the next generation of construction professionals by providing practical, industry‑aligned teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging construction lessons to learners of varying abilities.
• Teach vocational and practical construction subjects, ensuring relevance to current industry standards.
• Assess student work, give constructive feedback and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate learner records and complete required administrative tasks.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams to continuously improve teaching and learning.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification (or above) in a construction‑related discipline.
• Relevant industry experience within construction.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Knowledge of current industry standards and health & safety legislation.
• Assessor and/or IQA qualifications (desirable).
