Construction Lecturer – South Yorkshire

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver construction lessons to learners of varying abilities.
• Teach vocational and practical construction subjects.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor attendance, achievement and wellbeing.
• Create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Maintain accurate learner records and complete required administration.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams to improve teaching and learning.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification (or above) in a construction‑related discipline.
• Relevant industry experience within construction.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Construction industry knowledge.
• Health & safety legislation awareness.
• Assessor qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• IQA qualification (or willingness to obtain).
