Construction Lecturer (York)

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver construction lessons, covering both theoretical and hands‑on topics.
• Teach vocational and practical construction subjects to diverse learner groups.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and monitor progress.
• Track attendance, achievement and wellbeing, maintaining accurate learner records.
• Create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams to continuously improve teaching and learning.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification (or higher) in a construction‑related discipline.
• Relevant industry experience within construction.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
