Construction Litigation Associate – 4+ PQE (Hybrid)

About the role

Join a leading commercial law firm as a Construction Litigation Associate, working on high‑value, technically complex construction disputes across Wales and the South West. You will be based in Cardiff with hybrid working and will collaborate closely with partners and senior lawyers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage adjudication, arbitration and mediation matters for developers, contractors and public sector clients.
• Lead Technology & Construction Court (TCC) litigation, including delay, disruption and defects claims.
• Handle professional negligence and payment disputes.
• Advise on contractual disputes under JCT, NEC, FIDIC and bespoke agreements.
• Provide risk‑management and project‑strategy advice to clients.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• 4+ years post‑qualification experience in contentious construction law.
• Experience in a national or strong regional construction team.
• Deep knowledge of JCT, NEC and FIDIC contracts.
• Exposure to adjudication and TCC litigation.
• Commercially minded with a practical, solutions‑focused approach.
