Construction Manager

About the role

Framatome Limited is seeking a Construction Manager to join its Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater. The role will oversee the planning and delivery of construction works, ensuring they meet quality, health, safety and environmental standards while aligning with contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage all construction activities on site, deploying labour, equipment, materials and subcontractors to meet programme schedules.
• Maintain and enforce health, safety and quality standards in line with the HSE Plan and project requirements.
• Lead and supervise construction teams, providing clear direction, performance monitoring and accountability.
• Maintain detailed records of site activities and progress, reporting to senior project management.
• Participate in coordination, planning and project meetings, including delivering Toolbox Talks and ensuring effective communication of objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing construction projects within the nuclear or heavy‑industry sector.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and ability to ensure compliance.
• Ability to organise resources, manage subcontractors and drive programmes to successful completion.
• Excellent record‑keeping and reporting skills.
