Construction Materials Technician Apprenticeship (Level 3)

About the role

This Level 3 Materials Technician Apprenticeship with Quattro (UK) Ltd offers hands‑on experience in testing and quality control of concrete, aggregates and soils. You will work both on construction sites and in the laboratory, supporting the delivery of high‑quality materials to the civil engineering sector.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out ready‑mixed concrete testing, including slump tests and concrete cube production.
• Perform aggregate sampling, gradings and quality checks.
• Visit sites to support materials testing and record results.
• Maintain test documentation, waste and contamination reports, and compliance paperwork.
• Assist with quotations, invoicing and basic accounts administration.

Required profile

• Practical, technically‑minded and curious about material behaviour.
• Detail‑focused with ability to accurately record test data.
• Willing to learn, comfortable on site and with technical information.

Required skills

• Concrete testing (slump, cube preparation).
• Aggregate testing and grading.
• Soil and waste material sampling.
• Quality control documentation.
• Basic laboratory analysis of chemical reports.
