Construction Project Manager

About the role

The Construction Team is responsible for managing the design and installation of civil engineering and construction aspects of renewable energy projects. This role provides technical support to the Development, Planning and Operations teams while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Progress civil engineering design for each location and coordinate construction contractors.
• Draft contract terms, administer contracts and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Conduct feasibility studies for wind, solar, battery storage and anaerobic digestion projects.
• Support early‑stage design, planning condition discharge and asset upkeep across the portfolio.
• Prepare specification documentation for external consultants and contractors.
• Review tender documentation, report on practical and financial progress, and chair stakeholder meetings.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and act as Principal Designer when required.
• Deliver projects on schedule and budget, monitor budgets, and travel to site locations as needed.

Required profile

• Higher education qualification in civil or construction engineering.
• Chartered engineer status preferred or working towards chartered status.
• Proven project management and delivery experience.
• Ability to work independently, manage remote teams and meet tight deadlines.
