About the role

The Anaesthetic & Intensive Care Unit at Kent & Canterbury Hospital is seeking a dynamic Consultant Anaesthetist and Intensivist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering a wide range of surgical services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide anaesthesia sessions across paediatric, vascular, endovascular, orthopaedic and urology lists.
• Fulfil on‑call commitments, including Intensive Care Unit (ITU) cover.
• Support departmental appraisal, revalidation and mandatory training processes.
• Participate in education, audit and research activities within the department.
• Contribute to the allocation of PA time for SPA and specific departmental roles.

Required profile

• Qualified Consultant Anaesthetist with recognised intensive care experience.
• Ability to work flexibly within a 10‑PA job plan and adapt to individual skill sets.
• Commitment to high‑quality patient care and collaborative teamwork.
