Consultant Ecologist – Luton

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant Ecologist to join our growing environmental consultancy team in Luton. You will play a key part in delivering ecological services across a diverse portfolio of projects, balancing fieldwork with office-based analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and collect ecological data.
• Analyse findings and produce technical reports for clients.
• Contribute to protected species assessments and biodiversity net‑gain strategies.
• Develop habitat‑planning recommendations.
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients and external partners to ensure project success.

Required profile

• Previous experience in ecology or a related environmental field.
• Strong field‑survey techniques and report‑writing abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Residence within a commutable distance to the Luton office.
• Ability to manage workload independently and as part of a team.
