About the role
The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an experienced Consultant Haematologist to join its team at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley. This permanent, full‑time position will support haematology services across the Clyde sector, including Inverclyde Royal Hospital and Vale of Leven.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver day‑case, outpatient, inpatient and consultative haematology care.
- Provide expert support to laboratory haematology services across the region.
- Contribute to the development and expansion of clinical and laboratory haematology services.
- Collaborate with consultants at neighbouring hospitals to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in on‑call rotas and emergency haematology duties as required.
Required profile
- Full registration with the GMC and a licence to practise.
- Higher specialist training leading to a CCT, eligibility for CESR, or within six months of confirmed entry.
- Equivalent specialist training for non‑UK applicants.
- Demonstrated experience in senior haematology roles.
