Consultant Rheumatology – £20k Welcome Bonus

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant in Rheumatology to join our team at Ipswich Hospital. The post can be full‑time or part‑time and may initially be undertaken on a locum basis for candidates new to the area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant‑led rheumatology services across outpatient clinics, wards and the Emergency Department.
• Develop and maintain care pathways, clinical guidelines and best practice standards.
• Collaborate with tertiary centres, community services and primary care to ensure seamless patient care.
• Offer clinical leadership and support to junior doctors, nursing staff and the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to the overall service delivery to meet the health needs of the local population.

Required profile

• Completion of a CCT or equivalent Portfolio Pathway and registration on the Specialist Register.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Commitment to high‑quality patient care and continuous service improvement.

Required skills

• Experience with the Epic electronic patient record system.
