Contact Lens Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a caring Contact Lens Assistant to join our busy Yeovil store. You will help customers choose, fit and care for their contact lenses, ensuring they leave feeling confident about their vision solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and advise customers on contact lens options and fittings.
• Assist with lens measurements, ordering and follow‑up care.
• Maintain accurate customer records and update lens prescriptions.
• Support opticians and technicians with routine tasks and stock management.
• Provide a clean, well‑stocked retail environment and adhere to health‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an optical or retail setting.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and a caring attitude.
• Ability to work confidently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and develop further within the optical field.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required beyond basic optical knowledge.
