Contact Lens Optician – Plymouth

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Contact Lens Optician to join our busy Plymouth store. The role involves providing high‑quality eye care, fitting contact lenses and delivering excellent customer service in a modern, two‑floor retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct contact lens assessments and fittings for a diverse client base.
• Provide advice on lens care, replacement schedules and eye health.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with GOC standards.
• Support the store’s sales targets by promoting appropriate products.
• Collaborate with the wider optical team to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Required profile

• Qualified Contact Lens Optician, registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Demonstrated experience in contact lens dispensing and patient care.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for serving the local community.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in contact lens fitting and assessment procedures.
• Knowledge of optical equipment and hygiene protocols.
