Contentious Probate & Civil Litigation Solicitor

About the role

We are partnering with a respected regional law firm to recruit a Contentious Probate & Civil Litigation Solicitor. The role offers the chance to manage a varied caseload of probate and civil litigation matters, developing expertise in contentious probate while gaining exposure to broader civil disputes. You will work within a supportive, collaborative team with opportunities for long‑term progression.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of contentious probate and civil litigation matters from instruction to resolution.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, witness statements and correspondence.
• Provide clear, practical, commercially focused advice to clients.
• Conduct negotiations and pursue alternative dispute resolution where appropriate.
• Handle TOLATA disputes involving beneficial ownership, property sales and occupation rights.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service.
• Ensure files are managed efficiently and in line with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
• 1‑3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Experience handling contentious probate and civil litigation matters.
• Ability to manage own caseload and work autonomously.
• Strong client service orientation.
