Contentious Probate Litigation Solicitor (NQ‑5PQE) – London

About the role

Our client, a top‑tier litigation practice recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers, is seeking a dedicated Contentious Probate Litigation Solicitor to join their London team. The role offers exposure to high‑value probate disputes and the chance to develop specialist expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Department Director and manage a varied probate caseload.
• Handle all aspects of contentious probate work, including Inheritance (Dependants Act 1975) claims, proprietary estoppel, will disputes, duress, forgery, executor removal and related matters.
• Provide advocacy in court, attend clients, take instructions and prepare case files.
• Maintain accurate correspondence, time‑recording and costing procedures.
• Implement supervisory recommendations following monthly file reviews.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with NQ to 5PQE experience in contentious probate or related civil litigation.
• Pro‑active, client‑focused approach with sensitivity to client needs.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and work independently.
