Contentious Probate Solicitor – Partner Level

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor to join a nationally recognised law firm as a Partner. You will lead high‑value probate disputes, work with an established client base and help grow the practice through strategic business development.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and litigate on complex contentious probate matters, including wills, trusts, estates and inheritance claims.
• Manage a varied caseload of high‑value disputes while ensuring excellent client service.
• Develop new business opportunities, nurture referral networks and contribute to the firm’s growth strategy.
• Provide leadership, supervision and mentoring to junior lawyers and support staff.

Required profile

• Current Partner, Junior Partner or Head of Department seeking a senior role.
• 10+ years post‑qualification experience in contentious probate and estate litigation.
• Proven track record of handling high‑value, complex cases.
• Strong commercial awareness and ambition to expand a practice.
• Membership of ACTAPS and/or STEP is highly desirable.
