Continuous Improvement & Training Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Continuous Improvement & Training Manager to drive operational excellence in our industrial manufacturing site in Ellesmere Port. You will lead Lean initiatives, develop competency programmes and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and 5S projects, identify productivity, quality and cost improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate root‑cause analysis, value‑stream mapping and standardisation, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Develop, monitor and report on KPIs that measure improvement performance.
• Design and deliver training and competency strategies, maintain training matrices and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Coach managers, support succession planning and champion employee engagement.
• Ensure training complies with regulatory, quality and health & safety standards and maintain accurate documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence or manufacturing.
• Proven track record delivering Lean and process improvement projects.
• Experience designing and delivering employee training programmes.
• Strong analytical, communication and coaching abilities.
• Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business or related discipline (desirable).
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification (desirable).

• Salary £40,000‑£50,000 per annum.
