Contract Consultant – Workforce Planning at Manufacturing Site

About the role

We are looking for an on‑site Contract Consultant to join a busy manufacturing facility in Slough. You will be based in a shared office on the client’s site and become a key part of the team that ensures the right people are in the right place at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily deployment of approximately 170 temporary associates across production departments.
• Create and maintain workforce plans aligned with production demand.
• Make tactical allocation decisions, moving associates between departments based on skills and operational priorities.
• Collaborate with client management to respond quickly to changing labour requirements.
• Use workforce management tools, geofencing technology and clock‑in/out platforms to track attendance and maintain accurate data.
• Act as first point of contact for associate queries, conduct employee‑relations conversations and manage absence and performance matters.
• Process weekly payroll, handle attendance reporting and respond to shared mailbox enquiries.

Required profile

• Experience in workforce planning, temporary staffing or similar operational HR roles.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with both associates and operational managers.
• Ability to make real‑time decisions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organisational and data‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with workforce management systems and planning tools.
• Familiarity with geofencing or clock‑in/out technology.
