About the role

Are you looking to make a tangible impact on your local community through efficient service delivery? As a Contract Management Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our municipal contracts deliver maximum value and performance for the residents of Stockton-on-Tees.

Main Missions

  • Manage and monitor diverse contracts across various council services to ensure compliance and excellence.
  • Act as a key liaison between external suppliers and internal departments to drive performance improvements.
  • Organize and lead contract review meetings to maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure strict adherence to Value for Money (VfM) principles.
  • Provide proactive support to internal services to resolve contractual issues and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Profile sought

  • A proactive professional with a strong interest in public sector procurement and contract lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to monitor performance data and translate it into actionable improvements.
  • A collaborative team player ready to work within an experienced procurement and contract team.
