Contract Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our Building Solutions team operating in Salisbury and Portsmouth. The role is full‑time, 40 hours per week, and will initially be site‑based with the opportunity to evolve into account management as client partnerships expand.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee project delivery, achieving operational and commercial goals through effective management of project teams and stakeholders.
• Manage projects from pre‑commencement to completion, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
• Take overall responsibility for implementing health and safety policies, ensuring all employees and subcontractors comply with relevant procedures.
• Act as the client’s first point of contact, developing excellent working relationships and identifying ongoing opportunities.
• Mentor and support site teams, sharing knowledge and experience to help others develop their skills.

Required profile

• Significant experience in leading delivery on construction projects, ideally within secure environments.
• Relevant construction qualification (HND/Degree level or equivalent) and professional memberships such as CIOB.
• Expert knowledge of NEC and JCT contract conditions, with demonstrable experience managing project budgets and programmes.
• Hold or be willing to obtain necessary clearances (British passport required, Enhanced DBS minimum, SC clearance advantageous).
