Contracts Manager – Refurbishment Projects

About the role

As a Contracts Manager you will lead the delivery of refurbishment and fit‑out projects, reporting directly to the Managing Director. You will be responsible for ensuring each project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Manage refurbishment projects from tender stage through to final handover.
• Oversee 2‑5 projects simultaneously, handling a range of values and complexities.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors to meet project requirements.
• Prepare budgets, schedules and procurement plans in collaboration with the commercial team.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify health‑and‑safety compliance and quality standards.
• Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships and monitor subcontractor performance.
• Resolve issues or disputes promptly to keep projects on track.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry, preferably on refurbishment projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes and project‑management methodologies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects at once.
• Quantity Surveying experience is a plus.
