Contracts Supervisor

About the role

Davies Turner is seeking a Contracts Supervisor to support the Contracts Manager in overseeing daily logistics and contract operations at its Severn Beach site. The role combines hands‑on leadership with coordination of workflow, ensuring that contract delivery meets accuracy, timeliness and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily logistics and contract activities, guaranteeing tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Allocate workloads, monitor activity levels and manage operational priorities.
• Act as a secondary point of contact for customers, resolving issues and escalating when necessary.
• Track KPIs, service levels, trends and risks, supporting corrective actions.
• Assist with revenue and cost monitoring, identifying efficiency opportunities.
• Oversee operational administration related to stock control, distribution and documentation.
• Liaise with the warehouse and logistics operators to ensure regular PI checks and maintain stock integrity.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, customs requirements and quality standards.
• Maintain the Warehouse Management System, safeguard data integrity and collaborate with IT on system enhancements.
• Coach and support coordinators, manage holiday cover and handovers, and keep accurate records and reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising or leading teams in logistics, transport or operational environments.
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management System (WMS) operation
