Controls Engineer – Hybrid (Bristol)

About the role

We are supporting a leading engineering and technology manufacturer in Bristol with a hybrid working model. The Controls Engineer will develop control and visualisation software for advanced industrial products, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop PLC and HMI software solutions.
• Create and review technical documentation.
• Support software testing and release processes.
• Interpret software specifications and electrical schematics.
• Contribute to project planning and delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience with PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Blocks).
• HMI programming experience using VB.net or similar tools.
• Good understanding of electrical schematics and P&ID drawings.
• Background working in controls/software engineering environments.
• HND or degree in an engineering or software discipline.
