Controls Engineer – Training & Progression

About the role

We are seeking a Controls Engineer to join a specialist control systems company experiencing rapid growth. You will act as the technical go‑to for a variety of control system projects, ranging from smoke control in hospitals to ventilation and lighting solutions for commercial buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Design control systems for smoke control, ventilation and general‑purpose applications.
• Program PLC‑based control systems and associated I/O modules.
• Commission and test control systems on‑site.
• Troubleshoot, modify and optimise existing control solutions.
• Provide technical support from initial design through to customer hand‑over.

Required profile

• Principal Controls Engineer or similar with experience across design, programming and commissioning.
• Strong background in PLC‑based control systems.
• Willingness to travel to sites as required.

Required skills

• Mitsubishi PLC programming.
• HMI configuration and development.
• General‑purpose I/O module integration.
• Control system design and commissioning.
