Controls System Engineer – Manufacturing Equipment

About the role

Our client, a well‑established manufacturer of innovative equipment for aerospace, wind and automotive sectors, is seeking a Controls System Engineer to develop control software for manufacturing machinery and provide technical support throughout project lifecycles.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical and control systems for material‑processing machinery.
• Develop design concepts and produce technical drawings.
• Manage system projects from initial concept through to implementation.
• Interpret customer specifications and research solutions for new product development.
• Provide technical support to clients and internal engineering teams.
• Ensure all developed systems comply with health and safety standards.
• Create programmable logic controllers that meet agreed technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Control Systems Engineer.
• Proficiency with electronic and electrical software tools.
• Experience programming PLCs, preferably Siemens.
• Knowledge of composites, material processing and polymer manufacturing is advantageous.
• Ability to manage system projects from concept to delivery.
