Conveyancer – Fixed Term (10 months)

About the role

We are seeking a Conveyancer on a 10‑month fixed‑term contract to join our team in St. Leonards. The role is ideal for candidates with experience handling their own conveyancing caseload or managing a team of case handlers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out all legal aspects of residential property transactions, including leaseholds, freeholds, registered and unregistered properties.
• Provide day‑to‑day coaching and mentoring for team members as required.
• Support the Team Manager and assess risk on every transaction, ensuring pragmatic decisions and appropriate legal advice.
• Conduct file reviews prior to exchange of contracts to ensure accuracy.
• Prioritise and complete all required tasks promptly, supporting colleagues to do the same.
• Implement company policies, procedures, plans and principles effectively.

Required profile

• Qualified with a Law Degree, LPC, Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or Legal Executive (FCILEX).
• Extensive experience managing a varied conveyancing caseload and complex legal matters.
• Excellent communication, time‑management, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and self‑motivation, able to work independently or within a team.
