Conveyancer – Mentoring & Quality Assurance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Conveyancer to join our Manchester office, focusing on mentoring, supervision and quality assurance rather than handling a personal caseload. In this collaborative, people‑focused role you will support a small team of lawyers to maintain high standards of residential conveyancing service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide mentorship, coaching and supervision to a team of three property lawyers.
• Review residential conveyancing files (freehold, leasehold, registered and unregistered) for compliance, accuracy and risk mitigation.
• Deliver clear legal guidance to promote consistent decision‑making and best practice.
• Assist the Team Manager with leadership, operational oversight and process improvement.
• Promote strong communication, risk awareness and adherence to company policies.

Required profile

• Qualified legal professional (Law Degree, LPC, Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or FCILEX).
• Extensive residential conveyancing experience, including complex matters.
• Excellent mentoring, communication and leadership abilities.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and risk awareness.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for supporting colleagues.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CMS systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
