Conveyancing Assistant – Residential Conveyancing Team

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join a friendly Residential Conveyancing team in Yate. You will provide comprehensive secretarial support, manage files from client onboarding to completion, and ensure a smooth, client‑focused conveyancing process.
Key responsibilities
- Provide full secretarial support to the Residential Conveyancing team.
- Manage conveyancing files from instruction through completion and archiving.
- Prepare correspondence, legal documents and forms.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, solicitors, mortgage lenders and other third parties.
- Open and close files in line with firm procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Update the case management system and assist with compliance requirements.
- Use initiative to progress matters and support the team where appropriate.
- Perform general office administration and support duties.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Secretary in a residential department.
- Thorough understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to post‑completion.
- Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
- Excellent communication and client‑care skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
- Proactive and professional approach to work.
