Conveyancing Paralegal – Reading

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Conveyancing Paralegal to join our forward‑thinking law firm in Reading. You will work within a supportive residential property team, handling the full lifecycle of conveyancing matters and gaining exposure to a diverse caseload.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, preparing contract packs and handling enquiries.
• Conduct property searches, ID checks, and manage AP1/OS applications with the Land Registry.
• Support pre‑ and post‑completion work, ensuring files remain compliant and well‑organised.
• Maintain regular client updates and liaise closely with fee‑earners to ensure smooth transaction progress.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in residential conveyancing (preferred).
• Strong organisational abilities and excellent written communication.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, client‑focused attitude with keen attention to detail.
• Desire to develop a career in property law.

Required skills

• Knowledge of residential conveyancing processes.
• Familiarity with conducting searches and handling Land Registry applications.
