Conveyancing Paralegal – Residential Property

About the role

The firm of solicitors in Shenfield is seeking a motivated Conveyancing Paralegal to join its residential conveyancing team. You will support fee earners throughout the full lifecycle of freehold and leasehold property transactions, from instruction to completion, in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a busy caseload of residential property files (freehold and leasehold).
• Prepare contract packs and other legal documentation.
• Conduct searches and review results.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors.
• Draft legal correspondence and supporting documents.
• Handle post‑completion matters, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
• Provide general administrative support to fee earners.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a paralegal in a residential property team (essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Client‑focused approach with a professional and friendly manner.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with conveyancing case management systems.
