Conveyancing Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking a Conveyancing Team Leader to join the Probate Operations team at Co‑op Legal Services. In this full‑time hybrid role you will coach, mentor and develop a team of conveyancers, ensuring high‑quality property work and outstanding client service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage a team of conveyancers to meet performance targets.
• Oversee line‑management duties, including appraisal, coaching and development.
• Drive quality improvement across all property work, providing legal and technical audit support.
• Champion a client‑focused approach and ensure timely case progression.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities and implement change within the team and department.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Land Law, Land Registration and the conveyancing process.
• Understanding of Trusts, Equity and the rules relating to equitable interests for both registered and unregistered property.
• Proven ability to title‑check freehold, leasehold, registered and unregistered properties and to manage registrations and adverse‑possession claims.
• Excellent analytical ability and effective use of management information.
• Strong time‑management skills to balance a caseload with managerial duties.
