About the role

International SOS is seeking a Coordinating Nurse to join its London office in Chiswick Park. This office‑based position offers the chance to work within a global team, providing high‑quality medical assistance to patients and clients worldwide without night‑shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from patients globally and conduct telephonic triage and holistic medical assessments.
• Provide evidence‑based medical advice, pre‑travel health guidance, and fitness‑to‑fly assessments.
• Coordinate patient care across international locations, directing patients to appropriate medical facilities.
• Liaise with medical professionals worldwide to obtain information, arrange treatment, and recommend care upgrades.
• Organise medical evacuations and repatriations, including acting as a medical escort when required.
• Participate in internal quality‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• NMC registration with roughly five years of experience in an ICU or Emergency setting.
• Broad clinical experience in travel/global health, public health, cruise ship, military nursing, humanitarian or NGO work.
• Ability to identify critical medical issues, act promptly, and manage cases under pressure.
• Excellent telephone manner, adaptability, and empathy.

Required skills

• Experience using databases.
