Corporate Associate – Leeds (2-4 years PQE)

About the role

AJ Chambers is seeking a Corporate Associate to join its Leeds office. The role involves handling UK and cross‑border M&A transactions and providing corporate advice to a range of clients, including private equity firms.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on and execute M&A transactions ranging from £5 million to over £100 million.
• Represent corporate clients, investors and management teams in negotiations.
• Support private‑equity clients with investments, portfolio deals, restructurings and general corporate advice.
• Manage transactions independently where appropriate and assist partners on larger, complex deals.
• Coordinate due diligence, draft and negotiate transaction documents and oversee deal execution.
• Develop and maintain long‑lasting client relationships.
• Contribute to business development through pitches, client insights and network expansion.

Required profile

• 2–4 years post‑qualification experience as a Corporate Associate.
• Strong technical knowledge of corporate law and commercial awareness.
• Proven ability to manage own workload and contribute effectively to transactions.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ambition to develop expertise across the full spectrum of corporate work.
