Corporate Compliance Manager – Interim (Gosport)

About the role

An exciting interim opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Compliance Manager to lead a busy local authority team in Gosport. You will be responsible for overseeing statutory compliance across social housing and corporate assets, ensuring safety and regulatory performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Compliance Team, including two Compliance Contract Leads and a Compliance Officer.
• Oversee contracts for asbestos management, electrical inspections, fire risk assessments, gas inspections, lift servicing, and water risk assessments.
• Drive contractor performance, monitor KPIs, and produce monthly compliance reports for senior stakeholders.
• Support specification, procurement, and mobilisation of compliance contracts.
• Verify contractor invoices and ensure alignment with contractual agreements.
• Chair and attend operational and strategic meetings.
• Build relationships with residents, leaseholders, councillors, contractors, and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate compliance records, certifications, and work programmes in management systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multiple compliance disciplines within housing, property, or local authority environments.
• Strong contractor management track record with measurable performance improvements.
• Previous experience leading compliance teams and staff.
• Excellent knowledge of statutory compliance regulations and related legislation.
• Experience of budget management, cost control, and delivering value for money.
• Strong analytical, reporting and presentation abilities.

What we offer

• Daily rate of £389.84 – £442.00 (PAYE plus holiday allowance).
• Potential permanent equivalent salary of around £101k per annum.
• 37‑hour week, Monday‑Friday onsite role.
