Corporate Health and Safety Manager

About the role

As the Corporate Health and Safety Manager at The Hyde Group, you will lead the group‑wide health and safety strategy, ensuring a safe environment for employees, contractors, residents and visitors across our housing portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve health and safety policies, procedures, standards and risk assessments.
• Conduct audits, compliance checks and incident investigations, tracking corrective actions to completion.
• Provide specialist advice, reports and recommendations to managers, committees and governance forums.
• Support external accreditations such as CHAS and RoSPA and manage the Corporate Health & Safety Committee.
• Coordinate training programmes, safety surveys, record‑keeping and reporting tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading health and safety in a complex, multi‑site organisation.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, able to translate technical requirements into plain English.
• Proactive mindset with a passion for building a robust safety culture.
• Ability to interpret UK health and safety legislation and provide evidence‑based assurance.
• Minimum NEBOSH Diploma in health and safety management.
