Corporate Insolvency Manager

About the role

A leading insolvency practice in Cheshire is seeking an experienced Corporate Insolvency Manager or Assistant Manager to lead a portfolio of corporate cases. The role offers exposure to a wide range of restructuring matters and clear progression within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full portfolio of corporate insolvency cases from appointment to closure.
• Handle procedures such as CVLs, MVLs, administrations and compulsory liquidations.
• Work closely with senior Insolvency Practitioners on complex assignments.
• Review junior staff work for technical accuracy and statutory compliance.
• Act as primary contact for directors, creditors, solicitors and other stakeholders.
• Support staff supervision, training and development.
• Contribute to process improvements and best‑practice initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in corporate insolvency at Assistant Manager or Manager level.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate insolvency procedures.
• Progressing towards or holding CPI, JIEB or other professional insolvency qualifications.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CVL, MVL, administration and compulsory liquidation processes.
• Familiarity with UK insolvency legislation and SIP compliance.
