Corporate Tax Assistant Manager / Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager or Manager to join a well‑established boutique accountancy practice in Central London. The role combines compliance work (approximately 70%) with advisory projects (30%) and offers clear progression opportunities within a growing corporate tax team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver corporate tax compliance for a portfolio of clients, including budgeting and billing.
• Review tax provisions and disclosures, advise on tax payments and quarterly instalments.
• Support advisory work across various corporate tax areas, taking increasing ownership as experience grows.
• Build effective relationships with clients and internal colleagues.
• Assist in developing trainees, providing constructive feedback.
• Plan and organise workflows to meet deadlines.
• Identify value‑adding opportunities for clients and appropriately escalate issues.

Required profile

• ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification (CTA support may be available).
• Minimum of one year post‑qualified corporate tax and accounting experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong understanding of UK corporate tax rules and UK GAAP as applied to tax accounting.
• Motivated to support and develop junior team members.
• Excellent client service orientation and communication skills.

Required skills

• Good general IT skills with knowledge of tax software.
